Random Research October 2021

I have been nosing around the internet, as I am want to do.

Taoism

I stumbled across the Tao Te Ching at about the age of twenty one. Since then I have found much value in the ideas of Taoism. I went back and dug through some internet resources earlier this month, which I shall share with you here.

Tim Ferriss: Guest Reading Recommendations

I am a big fan of Tim Ferriss and his approach to getting things done. His podcast is tremendously useful as well, as he picks the brains of interesting and successful people. I have compiled here, some of the book recommendations of those podcast guests.

Ralph Waldo Emerson

As a college student, I was a big fan of Henry David Thoreau. But I confess I didn’t actually read Walden until years later, and I found it quite disappointing. Thoreau’s writing was underwhelming, even if I agreed with much of what he said. As such I have started to look into his friend and enabler: Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Other Bits and Pieces

I have been reviewing my own reading lists for an upcoming Course, soon be available free on this website. I have provided here some links to some of the authors who will be in said Course.
