Empire wants us all to have acted as accomplices. It is very hard to oppose the Hungry Empire if you depend upon the empire for your every need. If you need to empire to provide you food, it is very hard to rebel. If you need empire to provide the housing and shelter you need, it is very hard to rebel. Empire wants our hands dirty, and our moral compromised. It is harder to object to atrocities if those atrocities provided us with our sneakers and corn flakes. It is harder to speak out in favor of reducing fossil fuel use if the only ways to heat your house are natural gas or coal power plants. It is harder to oppose shale oil fracking if your community is built to make a car a near necessity. Empire wants us all to have acted as accomplices. They want us dependent upon their sins.
