I have an old dog. Most of the time, you wouldn’t know it. He’s a deer head chihuahua with a walk and a scamper that is even more puppy like than most chihuahuas. Even veterinarians tend to underestimate his age. But he is an older dog. And underneath that puppy exterior, he has back issues and heart issues. And he has arthritis, so he gets aches and pains. Most of the time he is a very happy happy dog, but when his chronic pain flairs up he can get grumpy as he tries to figure out what is hurting him. And then we get him a a hot pad and a soft blanket and let him snuggle in and try to ignore as he growls at his own butt.
My point? You don’t know what weights other people carry. Not everyone who carries a heavy load look like it on first reflection.
