Leaders Fall

Former Japanese Prime Minister and war crimes denier: Shinzo Abe was assassinated by a man with a homemade gun. Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe tendered his resignation after hundreds of protesters breached his residence in outrage. British Prime Minister Boris Johnson tendered his resignation after the largest spate of ministerial resignations in decades.

Citizens are questioning leaders and their solutions. Citizens are doubting the capabilities of their leaders. And America has a notably old and out of touch leadership. America is a de facto gerontocracy of aging Baby Boomers refusing to accept the challenges of the modern age. Like the generals of World War One attempting to fight the first modern war using Victorian logic, these relics are attempting to solve 21st century challenges with 20th century wisdom, which no longer applies. They are trying to use the thinking that created the problems to solve those problems.

And people can see it. Discontent is growing. People are swinging wildly left or right around the world, looking for leadership that will do something radical. They can see that dramatic leadership is needed, but don’t necessarily know what king. And under these conditions, the only constant is upheaval.

Get ready.
