I’ve been messing with an important lie this morning.
I have come to the conclusion that in order to complete one’s life mission, one’s sacred task, we must choose to believe that we have been given all the tools we need to do so. I suspect that this is entirely untrue for most of us. But I also believe that if we do not believe that we have been given these tools, then we stand no chance of overcoming the hurdles that have been placed in front of us. To steal from Terry Pratchett: we need in things that are not true in order for them to become.
“You need to believe in things that aren’t true. How else can they become?”
Terry Pratchett, Hogfather
