The Truth Will Not Save You

“I don’t care if the fairy tale is true, I care if the fairy tale is useful.”

From the Ars Holistica

There is a dispute in esoteric circles, is magic supernatural or is it folk psychology? Both sides defend their positions vehemently. And us? We don’t care. Science is a quest for fact and truth. Science is a process of becoming continuously less wrong. Magick is the process of interacting with the world through story. Magick does not, and should not, concern itself with truth. Magick, and magicians, are best served by committing themselves not to truth, but to results.
