“What is magic, but the appearance of magic?”
Dilton Doiley, Archie Comics
What is magick? This is question with as many answers as people answering it. Magick is typically seen as the accomplishing of something through supernatural means. We do not define magick like this. We define magick as the accomplishing of things using story rather than science as the underlying structure.
Our minds are irrational things. They work in bizarre ways, shaped by millions of years of adaptation. Parts of our brains developed at different times under different evolutionary pressures. And if we are to use the full potential of that bizarrely built brain, we must deal with it as it is- not as we would like it to be.
Hence magick. Magick is using the logic of our broken minds. Magick is taking our evolutionary weaknesses and making them strengths.
