Humans are all born unequal to the task of being human. They are born helpless and half formed. They must be both protected and sheltered and later taught and encouraged if they are to survive.
Humans are all born unequal in potential, and unequal in natural ability. Humans are not granted the same capabilities by natural selection. Instead their potential ranges widely and unfairly.
Circumstance has stolen hopes and dreams from more humans at birth than it has given hopes and dreams to by adulthood.
Nothing about life is fair. Nothing about life is equal. And no laws painted on paper or encoded in electronic binary will every unmake this cold hard reality.
Any leveling of the playing field. Any squaring of the circle. Any enforcing of equal rights is a human invention. Because natural selection has demonstrated no interest in doing so.
