The Sorcerer’s Gift

I read the first chapter of the Sorcerer’s Secrets by Jason Miller. The first chapter is called: The Gift. It talks about how some people have to talent for magick and others do not. I do not know whether this is true. But it feels pointless to devote a whole chapter to such a topic. If you have purchased and are reading a book on magick, then presumably you plan to practice magick. If you lack the talent, then you will likely practice magick as though it were a religion rather than a magickal practice. But either way, why put such a chapter in your book, when readers will have already committed to practicing magick?
