To teach the essence of self-defense principles and the core systems of thinking and moving in combat.

The Achievement Requirements

•  Weevil – First Tactics
  • Explain what is meant by: Use what is there.
  • Explain what is meant by: Take what is offered.
• Ground beetle – First Defense
  • Explain optimal Range and how it applies to yourself and your opponent.
  • Explain how Distance is used defensively
• Soldier beetle- First Offence
  • Explain what is meant by: Targets First, and name the soft targets and hard targets on the human body.
  • Explain what is meant by: Weapons Second, name and demonstrate Body Weapons, and name the types of Held Weapons.
• Lady Beetle – The Essence
  • Fight Dirty: Elaborate on the principle: the Only Dirty move is one that doesn’t work, by naming the five dirty deeds. 
  • Plan Dirty: Elaborate on the principle: A fair fight favous the enemy, by naming the six dirty tricks. 
• Long Horn Beetle – The Controls
  • Name the Stability Controls: The 3 Hs, and explain how they work. 
  • Name the Obedience Controls, and explain how they work.
