Synopsis: Bobby is an echonaut of a rookie Psychonaut trapped in the Ring. An Echonaut is the imprint that a psychonaut can leave in the Shadowlands, it has a mind and will of its own and will continue to act outs its story after the Psychonaut moves on. Bobby’s role in story will always serve as the guy just ahead of the psychonauts in their travels, and in over his head. Bobby stumbles through his adventures, never quite succeeding, impossible to catch. He is a coward and much better at running than fighting, but he is a survivor. He will frequently lose his trademark monogrammed flask in his misadventures, and discovering the flask will often be the first sign to Psychonauts that Bobby has arrived ahead of them.
Bobby is a perennial apprentice to the Legendary Psychonaut: Professor Harbinger. Perennial, because Bobby never seems to manage to graduate to independent and prove that his can handle his own incursions, his part in the tale to forever be the rookie just a little ahead of Psychonauts first setting out of their journey into the Shadowlands.
