Synopsis: Geisternauts appear as a billowing cloak of smoke, boiling around a human skull still wrapped in muscle and tendon with atrophied organs dangling below the trailing pieces of spinal column. Geisternauts move by flying through the air. As they fly, their bones make sounds like wind chimes and penny whistles.
They are the ghosts of Psychonauts. Clear answers on how a psychonaut could die in the shadowlands are hard to come by, and speculation is not helpful. These spirits are energy vampires, feeding on the vajra and auras of healthy Psychonauts.
