The Fellowship of the Damned

 

They are going to call us a cult. So be it. They may call us a cult. You are different. You are here because you are different. You must be tremendously clever and industrious in order to reach this page. We have seen to that in the making of this page in the manner that we have done. We do not care whether you did so in the manner that we set up or by cutting the knot. What matters is that you sought us out and you found us.

But you probably are not a good fit for us. We will likely turn you away. This is nothing personal. But we are not an organization for everybody. We have, therefore, set up our every facet to dissuade those who are easily dissuaded. Our seal is designed to scare the conventional. Our name is chosen to scare the superstitious. The language of this very page is written to be off putting. This is no accident. Most people will not wish to be a part of Fellowship. But a larger number of people will wish to join than will wish to actually be and remain active members. And so we have set ourselves up to winnow out those people who believe they would like to be part of our number, but would not actually were they to find themselves in our midst.

We will offend the traditional and outrage the puritan. We will shock the establishment and confound the progressive. We will seem to be in bad taste and will apparently ignore common sense. And to most people, we will seem an abomination or an affront to everything they believe. And so most people should walk away now, before they begin screaming in panic.

You have found us, but you have not yet met us. Actually, you may have. But you have not, as yet, been introduced to us within the context of the Fellowship. And if you wish to join, that must change. We presume that you do wish to join us. Otherwise why are you here? Curiosity is a possibility. But if that is the case, you will find little satisfaction here. The digital footprint ends here. We are an organization of people, and we deal in meatspace rather than cyberspace.

If you are getting anxious at the possible of an in person meeting, then perhaps (as indicated) our little fellowship is not for you. That is fine. The Fellowship is not intended to be large. We are an exclusive little group, and are very picky about who we include. And every person who decides of their own accord that they wouldn’t measure up saves us the trouble.

We have no time for dilettantes and the merely curious. And so, with no malice, if you are among either group you will find that we are not interested in meeting you. And so most people should give up any desire of satisfying their curiosity. We will not indulge you, and if we did you would not find the answer titillating.

We are not a self-help scam or get rich quick scheme. We are not a new age religion or a Scientology wannabe. We are not the an also ran Freemason group or an off brand Thelema organization. We do not charge membership fees. We do not demand donations.

Our goal is not to extract money from our members.

We demand far more than that.

From those who join our number, we expect a commitment to our ideals. And so we are only interested in those who seek to make a difference in ways which in are alignment with our ideals. We seek people who are obsessed with a mission that runs parallel to ours and for whom the benefit of like minded allies would be immeasurable.

Scared yet? You should be. We seek out the obsessive and the manic. We seek out the dreamer and conspiracy theorist. We do not seek these people out randomly. We have a plan of our own and seek those who are in alignment with our own conspiracy theories. And most people will be terrified by our commitment to our own ideals. And most people should turn away now and return to safe reassuring suburbia.
