Synopsis: When mankind took its first cautious steps into the void, it did so by throwing its pets at the problem of survival first. The United States sent a Chimpanzee, but before that, the Soviet Union sent up a dog. The dog, a stray named Laika, captured the public imagination. There were other dogs sent up, but Laika is the one the public remembers.
These are not those dogs. These are the idea of those dogs. The first three dogs were not named Laika, Lucky and Leshii, but these are not those dogs- these are the story of those dogs. These are the cultural memory of those dogs. Dressed in cosmonaut space suits, and speaking the language of the Psychonauts with a distinct Russian accent, the cosmonaut dogs live in the Soviet style space capsule that sits at Stellar House. They are friendly and helpful and trusting. They are unprepared to assist in any confrontation or combat, but will happily answer questions and assist in non-confrontational ways.
They are humanity’s cultural memory of the good dog.
