They guard the night during its weakest point. The Solar Solstice is their great siege. They preserve the cycle for another year.

The Bright Solstice is a triumphant and boisterous celebration. There is much mock combat and wrestling contests to symbolize the struggle the night makes against the day. The Walker at the Crossroads favors the meat of black roosters and black bears as his offering. Hearthkeeper favors any food cooked in the coals of the fire as her offerings. The Cryptkeeper favors mutton of black sheep as offerings. Child of the Rainbow favors edible flowers as her offerings. Watcher on the Winds favors wild geese as their offering. Lady of Grace favors the meat of wild hares.
