The Clean and Unclean, The Pestilent and the Guardians
The spirits are the personification of illness and disease, of medicine and of places and of many other things. They are beings without a form or body, though many bear a ghostly image; humans in the Shadowlands are unable to interact with spirits in a corporeal manner. The Quiet Ones and the Guardian Spirits are both generally friendly, while the Sickly Ones and the Miscreated are their dark and dangerous reflections. The Psychopomps are the coachways, transporting those who know about the Major Realms. And the Ghosts are imprints of something or somebody, a story told so intensely that the moment lives on as an echo imprinted in the fabric of the Shadowlands.
