Vu’Hath Blood Gods

The Blood Gods are gods of war and agriculture. They are gods of growth and prosperity and conquest. The Blood Gods are divided into The Triune who rule the other Blood Gods, the New Blood, the Old Blood, and the Traitor. The Triune who rule the pantheon of the Blood Gods are: Ajhert, Bringer of Fire, Reverin, Giver of Life, and Belefir, Child of Sacrifice. The New Blood are the current elite of the Blood God pantheon, having overthrown and displaced their Old Blood parents in a great revolution.

The Blood Gods were the first gods with whom the Locust King made bargains. Even before the Twice Dead Gods were building the Mirrored City, the Blood Gods were watering the empire’s fields with the blood of slain enemies. The Blood Gods are war gods, but they are not gods of tactics or strategy. The logic of the Blood Gods is to grow a surplus of food, raise a surplus of babies into an army larger than your neighbor, and then throw that army against the enemy until the enemy is vanquished. Because excess food makes excess population possible, and because excess population demands land enough for that population, the Blood Gods are ever demanding that the empire expand.

The Traitor, Kern, is not worshipped in the Blood God pantheon, but is reviled for their role in teaching the Free Peoples and granting them the knowledge of Three Sisters Agriculture. Kern is respected by the Free Peoples, but not worshipped. This leaves them the weakest of the Blood Gods.
